Happy 8th (and last!) Night of Chanukah!
Done Dallying in Dallas, and we Amble on to Abilene as the Road Trip part of our Odyssey gets underway proper-like! We bid a fond fairwell to our family and friends in Dallas! Was great fun to see everyone and we're just a li'l sad to have to move on. If we're lucky we'll see you all again next year same time...but we hope much sooner!

Riding along through the night like a whisper in Desiree's fancy new Honda Accord we land in Abilene after a late start out of Dallas, running through last minute chores in the big city...The Travel Inn on I-20 on the town's border welcomes us for the night. Double sinks! And both basins are shaped like Texas! A Jacuzzi in Every Room (ThermalSol® IN ROOM™ Steam Bath). Time, by the way, has stopped here, as of late 1972.

We shoot for an early start in the morning, to try and hit Carlsbad in time for the last Christmas on the Pecos River Boat Ride of the Holiday Season! Boards outta Pecos River Village at 9pm. Wish us luck.
