Merry Christmas Eve!
Happy 2nd Night of Chanukah!
Gave our final goodbyes to the good folks of Conroe today as we dropped off Christmas gifts for all at Desi's fathers house. Thanks guys! We'll miss ya and hope to see ya'll soon!

Turns out that indeed the stars are big and bright deep in the heart of Texas! Writing this entry on the road between Conroe/Houston and Carrollton/Dallas and it's a clear beautiful Christmas Eve night in Texas! We listen to old Christmas Radio Shows on the radio station that Desi used to work at in Dallas (KLIF 570 on your AM dial) as we near the Dallas skyline. Which, by the way, looks exactly like it does in Microsoft Flight Simulator '98 at night! Only difference is, you don't crash into as many buildings when you try and get a close look at it.

Went to Desi's Mom and Stepdad's house (Dorothy and Jack Horner respectively) had some lovely tea, went to Desi's grandmother's house (Louise - born same year as Brad's grandmother Eva? Not sure, mail us and let us know what year Eva was born!). Dottie and Paul met us there and we discussed their family history (and what a history! More on it later if Paul will start putting together his web site! Tales of Cherokee's and assassinations and nations in the balance...More from Paul later?)

...And finally back to the Residence Inn, with a fire place where we wrap the rest of the presents for tomorrow's Xmas Dinner...And we also dive into a boxload of gifts from Brad's parents! Looking forward to 'em...Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight!
