Good Day Sunshine...
We thank you all for your frantic phone calls and
Emails and are happy to report that we've had three whole days of skiing and not one Death
by Tree. Of course, we've still got one last day to go, so if you'd like to keep worrying,
you may do so. We'll let you know after tomorrow if indeed we are "outta the
woods".
The sun finally broke through today on the slopes in it's full glory! Not a cloud in the sky and clear as a bell. Of course, this could have been part of the reason why Desi got spooked a bit today; she was actually able to see the monster of a mountain she's been skiing on! And of course, it was her first full day away from the safety of Ski School (where she graduated with honors, by the way!).
Spooked, but persistent, she pressed on and made several runs down beast. And even determined to stay one more day so as not to give the mountain the last laugh.
Brad on the other hand was no more spooked than usual, and had a glorious day cutting up the slopes and recalling what a damn good skiier he actually is! If only his leg muscles would hold out as long as his skiing skills seem to have! He coulda been a contender...Not a single offer for sponsorship has come in yet! So he's glad to stay one more day!
The evening was uneventful as Brad hadda take a whole bunch of hours to catch up with work that he's been too exhausted to hit over the last two days or so. But even while working, it's quite pleasant at the Alpine Village Suites. Check the link for some nice pictures of the place! One more day of skiing and then it's back to the lonesome road.
