BARBIEŽ SAYS: "HOWDY FROM AUSTIN!"
The BarbieŽ Photo Designer & Digital Camera, that is!
At this very point on the cusp of the new Millenium, it will cost an adult no less than
$300 for the convenience of a digital camera. Yet, little girls 12 & Under are lucky enough to enjoy this luxury for just $59.99 at their nearest Wal-Mart or other fine retail outlet!
And so it is, that the ROAD REPORT, masquerading as an 11 year old girl, has found it's way to bring you the occasional blurry, small and often quite pixilated photos fresh from the Roadsides and Byways of this great land [at least until our 90 day warranty is up!]
As long as our batteries, judgement and 6 picture memory hold up, we'll try to bring you a snapshot or two from the road -- as seen through the eyes of the two little girls that we all are deep down at heart! Enjoy!

KMOX - THE VOICE OF TEXAS?
...And with even the Dallas talk radio stations having long ago faded into the static, it was with more than just a bit of joy that suddenly the melodious tones of Jim White at 1120 on the AM dial started flooding in through our car radio.
The 50,000 clear channel watts flowing out of downtown St. Louis at 2am was music to (at least half of) the ROAD REPORT'S ears, reminding us of many a school night, staying up far too late, laying on the edge of the bed, holding our breath, just waiting to see what the next phone call might bring.
And on this night, in wilds of Southern Texas, a special treat for both listeners and host alike -- John "Roseanne" Goodman, now a frequent denizen of St. Louis -- strolled into the studio, also unable to sleep and prowling the town. He shared many of the same sleepless nights, it turns out, in bygone days, listening to the good Jim White talk about little more than Boats and occasionally the Blues into the wee hours.
And on a balmy night as we coasted into Austin, Texas, it was KMOX -- the Voice of St. Louis -- that followed us into town, even while temperatures dropped to a bone chilling 9 degrees back home at Lambert International.

As it's a slow "news" day, we also bring you a quick look at li'l Alister
O'Dowd the youngest in this world to share a gene or two from the Doyen pool -- all photos and artwork courtesy of BarbieŽ, of course.
