THE SUN HAS SET...

...AND HERE WE IZ, IN TEXAS YET!

While we've enjoyed our stay in Texas, from the Friedhelm's Bavarian Restaraunt in Fredericksberg[pictured top left]...to the LBJ Boyhood Home in the Hill Country...from Christmas in Dallas to Bonfires in Cut'n'Shoot...from the scenic Paolo Duro Canyon to New Years Eve at the Alamo...it's time for us to mosey on out of the Lone Star State.

Not an easy task as the folk poem used above demonstrates, but we're damn near out, and the next time ROAD REPORT posts it'll be [finally] from a different state!

We've got a destination in mind, where we'll stay put for three days or so. It'll take a couple of days to get there. But we thought we'd find out how clever our readers really are [or aren't, as the case may be].

So in the spirit of Texas, and continuing our Northwest journey from here, here's our own little poem, hinting at our next major destination. Be the first to figure it out, and let us know and you'll win a swell prize! [NOTE: New Years Day traveling companions excluded, since they may already know!]

RoadToX.JPG (2688 bytes) Lower than heaven, and colder than hell;
It's uplifting at times, and descending as well.
Many have waited there endlessly;
But maybe we'll fly through it breathlessly.
Only time and a good Catholic priest can tell!

We'll be there in two days, so guess early and often!
