No problem!

Another thing I was doing last night while I was playing PI: I ran Andy's social security number through a database and guess what: Nothing. No death records or anyting. (And I pulled the social from his death certificate).

I ran it through another free social check and it gave me this kind of weird email:

The Social Security Number 112-36-5432
is valid and was issued in
New York.
This SSN is ACTIVE.

I'm not exactly sure if I'm just reading into this way too much, and I don't have socials for anyone else but myself (and I know my number is active) - but the ACTIVE part struck me. Anyone know what happens to a social security number when a person has died? Does it get deactivated? Is it invalid? I would assume so, otherwise some crackpot could be registering credit cards or something to a Mr. Andy Kaufman.

Not that I have the money to do so, but if I did I would run it through one of the paid checks just to see what came up.

If anyone has any info, let me know so I don't sound like a complete moron. :D
